At 46 years old, Donald Trump has gained influence and wealth by promoting the Make America Great Again movement that his father initiated. He owns various businesses catering to conservative audiences, such as a publishing company and a lucrative podcasting contract. Forbes approximates Trump’s net worth to be approximately $50 million, mostly accumulated following his father’s political success after January 6, 2021.
Because of this, his colleagues believe he has no intention of becoming a part of the administration. However, he is aware of the challenges faced by his siblings and some new administration officials when trying to control access to his father. Serving as a gatekeeper for his father can be risky from a political standpoint.
In the past few weeks, while the president-elect is assembling his administration, his son has been acting as a detector of loyalty. While evaluating potential candidates at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, the president-elect is interested in appearance and communication skills, according to sources. However, his son is more concerned with determining if the candidates are genuine in their beliefs and if they pose a threat to the MAGA movement.
