Out of all of Donald Trump’s children, Donald Jr. has been the one who has stayed closest to his father throughout his presidency.
At 46 years old, Donald Trump has gained influence in politics and wealth by promoting the Make America Great Again movement, which was originally started by his father. He owns several businesses catering to conservative audiences, including a publishing company and a lucrative podcasting deal. Forbes has estimated Trump’s net worth to be approximately $50 million, largely accumulated after his father’s political career following January 6, 2021.
His colleagues say that he does not intend to become part of the administration for this reason. However, he is aware of the challenges faced by his siblings and other officials who joined the administration in their first term, trying to control access to their father. This has proven to be a risky political endeavor.
Over the past few weeks, while the president-elect is selecting his administration, his son has been acting as a sort of loyalty evaluator. During candidate evaluations at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, the president-elect is more interested in appearance and messaging abilities, according to those close to them. However, his son is more concerned with the sincerity of their words and whether they pose a risk to the MAGA movement.
