According to three individuals familiar with the situation, a meeting took place between Mr. Zuckerberg and Mr. Trump. The meeting was requested by Mr. Zuckerberg, who has had a difficult relationship with Mr. Trump for the last ten years. Mr. Trump has consistently claimed that Meta has unfairly limited him and other conservatives on its social media platforms, and has publicly criticized Mr. Zuckerberg on social media and during public speeches.

The information was shared by individuals who wished to remain anonymous. During the meeting, Zuckerberg offered his congratulations to Trump for his presidential victory, and the two men engaged in friendly conversation.
Following a meeting in the early afternoon, Mr. Trump and Mr. Zuckerberg arranged to have dinner together at Mr. Trump’s hotel later in the evening, according to sources.
A spokesperson from Meta expressed the significance of this moment for American innovation. They mentioned that Mark was thankful for the chance to have dinner with President Trump and discuss the upcoming administration with his team members.
