President Biden has decided to grant his son Hunter Biden a complete and unrestricted pardon. This decision was made shortly before President Biden’s term comes to an end and before President-elect Donald J. Trump takes over. Donald J. Trump has been known for criticizing Hunter Biden for his legal and personal troubles over the years.

President Biden decided to pardon his son Hunter on Sunday night, despite previously stating that he would not. This pardon clears Hunter of his legal issues, such as a federal conviction for purchasing a gun illegally and committing tax evasion. Biden used his presidential authority to forgive these offenses.

The White House released a statement in which President Biden announced that he had chosen to grant his son clemency for any crimes he may have committed or been involved in between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

He explained that he chose to make the decision due to his belief that the accusations against Hunter were driven by political motives and intended to damage his political reputation.

Mr. Biden stated that the charges against his son came as a result of his political opponents in Congress trying to harm his reputation and hinder his chances of winning the election. He believes that anyone who examines the details of Hunter’s cases would see that he was targeted solely because he is his son, which he deems unfair.

He mentioned that there has been a deliberate attempt to undermine Hunter, who has remained sober for five and a half years despite facing constant criticism and targeted legal action. By trying to harm Hunter, they are also trying to harm him, and he believes this pattern of behavior will continue. He stated that he has reached his limit and will not tolerate it any longer.

This man experienced a significant change in his beliefs and actions, as he previously believed in not interfering with the justice system. However, in 2020 and again in 2024, he advocated for the removal of former President Donald J. Trump in order to uphold the independence of America’s democracy.
