President Biden granted his son Hunter a complete pardon on Sunday evening, going back on his previous declarations that he would not do so. Through his presidential authority, Biden forgave Hunter for his various legal issues, such as being convicted for purchasing a gun unlawfully and committing tax evasion.

The White House released a statement in which President Biden announced his decision to grant clemency to his son for any offenses he may have committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

He explained that he chose to make the decision because he believed the accusations against Hunter were driven by political motives and intended to damage him politically.

Mr. Biden stated that the charges against his son were brought forward by some of his political rivals in Congress in an attempt to harm him and prevent his election. He believes that anyone who examines the details of Hunter’s cases would agree that he was targeted solely because he is his son, which he believes is unfair.

He mentioned that there have been attempts to undermine Hunter’s sobriety even though he has been sober for five and a half years. These attacks and selective prosecution have also been aimed at breaking him. He believes that this pattern of trying to break them will continue unless something changes. He is fed up with the situation.

This man’s political career was based on the principle of not interfering with the justice system, but in 2020 and 2024 he advocated for the removal of former President Donald J. Trump to uphold democracy and independence in America.
