On Sunday night, President Biden decided to pardon his son Hunter, despite previously stating he would not. This pardon absolves Hunter of all legal issues, such as a federal conviction for purchasing a gun illegally and tax evasion. President Biden used his authority to pardon Hunter.

The White House released a statement from President Biden announcing his decision to grant executive clemency to his son for any offenses he may have committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

In a statement, Mr. Biden claimed that the charges against his son were pushed by his political rivals in Congress to sabotage his campaign. He believes that looking at the facts of Hunter’s cases would lead any reasonable person to the conclusion that his son was targeted solely because of their relationship, which he deems unfair.

He stated that there has been an attempt to undermine Hunter, who has remained sober for over five years despite facing constant attacks and selective prosecution. By targeting Hunter, they are also trying to target him, and he believes this will not end here. He expressed that he has had enough of this situation.

This man had a significant change in stance after years of building his presidency and career on the principle of not interfering with justice. By 2020, he believed that former President Donald J. Trump should be removed from office to uphold independence in America’s democracy, and he continued to advocate for this in 2024.
