President Biden has decided to grant his son Hunter Biden a complete and unrestricted pardon. This decision was made shortly before President Biden’s term ends and President-elect Donald J. Trump takes over. Trump has been critical of Hunter Biden for his legal and personal troubles in the past.

On Sunday night, President Biden surprised many by pardoning his son Hunter, despite previously stating he would not. This pardon erased Hunter’s legal issues, such as a federal conviction for purchasing a gun unlawfully and for tax evasion. President Biden’s use of his presidential power allowed him to overlook these past troubles.

The White House released a statement from President Biden announcing his decision to grant his son clemency for any offenses he may have committed or been involved in from January 1, 2014, to December 1, 2024.

He explained that he chose to make the decision because he believed the accusations against Hunter were driven by political motives and intended to damage his reputation in politics.

In a statement, Mr. Biden claimed that the accusations against his son only arose because some of his political rivals in Congress wanted to discredit him and hinder his chances of winning the election. He believes that anyone who reviews the details of Hunter’s cases would agree that he was targeted solely because of his relationship to Mr. Biden, which he views as unjust.

He stated that there has been an attempt to undermine Hunter, who has remained sober for five and a half years despite facing constant attacks and selective prosecution. By targeting Hunter, they have also tried to undermine him, and it is likely that the attacks will continue. It is time for this to stop.

This man’s presidency and long career were based on the principle of not interfering with the justice system. However, in 2020 and again in 2024, he advocated for former President Donald J. Trump to be removed from office in order to uphold the independence of America’s democracy.
