President-elect Trump has chosen two experienced individuals to take on important positions in his upcoming efforts to tighten immigration policies. One of them is a former Border Patrol chief who was removed from his position by the Biden administration.

On social media, Mr. Trump revealed his plan to appoint Rodney S. Scott as the head of Customs and Border Protection. Rodney S. Scott previously served as the chief of the Border Patrol under Mr. Trump’s administration in 2020. Customs and Border Protection is responsible for managing the country’s borders, including overseeing the Border Patrol.

During his announcement, Mr. Trump commended Mr. Scott for implementing several key policies during his time in office, and recognized him for successfully reducing immigration numbers. He also praised Mr. Scott for his efforts in advocating for significant Border Security measures even after leaving his political career.

Until 2021, Mr. Scott was in charge of the Border Patrol, but the Biden administration made him leave his position. He mentioned in an interview with Fox News that he was moved from his role as chief after expressing his opinions to the administration and eventually decided to retire. He mentioned that he provided feedback and warned them about potential issues, but they chose not to listen to any of the advice given to them.

During his time as head of the San Diego Border Patrol sector, Mr. Scott was involved in some of Mr. Trump’s most controversial enforcement actions. This included the firing of tear gas by agents at migrants who were approaching the United States from Mexico.

He was leading the agency when Border Patrol agents were sent to Portland, Oregon in 2020 to defend federal buildings during demonstrations against police brutality. However, there were sightings of federal agents in riot gear within the city, not just near federal property. Mr. Scott denied these reports.

He has continuously spoken out against the immigration policies of the Biden administration in various news media outlets. Additionally, he joined a group of former homeland security officials in writing a public letter encouraging people to vote for Mr. Trump.

The letter stated that President Trump valued the expertise of border security professionals and took their advice into consideration. He listened to the experts when they explained how illegal immigration gives power to cartels to decide what comes into our country. As a result, he took action based on their recommendations.

President Trump revealed that Caleb Vitello, a veteran official at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, will temporarily lead the agency. ICE, responsible for apprehending, detaining, and expelling undocumented immigrants within the country, has been without a leader confirmed by the Senate for quite some time.

Mr. Trump praised Caleb for his outstanding leadership skills, vast experience, and dedication to ICE’s mission. He believes Caleb is the right person to carry out his plans to improve the safety and security of American communities affected by crimes committed by illegal aliens.

Mr. Vitello has been appointed to an important role where he will be responsible for supervising the planned large-scale deportation efforts led by Mr. Trump.
