Jio GigaFiber is the latest mega project for Reliance Jio after it had launched its telecommunication services in 2016. While the FTTH broadband service is in the testing phase since last two years, the company is expected to bring about Jio GigaFiber FTTH broadband services soon in India.
However, while there has been no official confirmation about the exact release date for Jio GigaFiber the company has indeed made some interesting announcements in the recent past.
Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer
All new connections will come with a complimentary Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer under which users will get free 100GB monthly broadband data at speeds of 100Mbps for the first three months of getting a new Jio GigaFiber connection. Moreover, if a user ends up consuming the monthly data limit before the validity, he or she can also head to Jio.com in order to avail additional data plans for the remaining monthly validity.
Reliance Jio has confirmed that in order to get a new Jio GigaFiber installed, users will have to pay Rs. 4,500 as a refundable security deposit for the Jio GigaFiber router and Jio GigaTV router. On the other hand, there will be no installations charges for a new connection.
As for the Jio GigaFiber plans, Reliance Jio is yet to reveal the plans for its FTTH broadband service, however, recent reports have highlighted that Jio GigaFiber plans might start at as low as Rs. 500 for the base plan offering 300GB of monthly data.
According to a report by TelecomTalk, Jio GigaFiber is testing a new Triple Play plan among its employees which comes bundled with unlimited voice calling benefit, broadband data, Jio Home TV or Jio GigaTV and access to the whole suite of Jio apps. It is also expected that the Triple Play plan will be positioned differently than conventional broadband plans from Jio GigaFiber.
